Wall insulation in West Lulworth

What the wall is. Stone rubble, nine inch brick and later brick and block cavity all sit in this village. Thickness at a reveal and the bond usually settle it, and where they do not, one hole in a mortar joint and a borescope gives the cavity width, whether it is clear and dry, whether the ties are bridged and whether a failed or slumped fill is in there already.

Disruption inside. A lining means furniture moved, skirtings off, sockets brought forward and the walls replastered, and making good and redecorating afterwards is real work. Outside, a tower does for a bungalow gable and a taller one needs scaffold, as the work at height rules set out.

When a second quote arrives, ask whether anyone has looked into the wall with a borescope, which system and thickness they are proposing, and how they will detail the reveals and the floor junction.
