Most of the cost of clearing a gutter is not the clearing. It is working out where you can safely stand to reach it, and on plots like these that answer changes every few metres.

Anything backing up is rodded and flushed. Any hopper head is checked, because a hopper collects everything and nobody ever looks in one.

A bracket that has let go, leaving a sagging length that holds standing water and silts up again within weeks. A missing shoe throwing water at the brickwork, which is how a wall picks up staining and how damp gets a foothold inside. Furzehill's bungalows can usually be cleared from the ground with a pole or from a ladder. On a two storey detached house with a border or greenhouse under the eaves, a tower goes up instead, and a valley between two roofs needs a proper platform. Once it is clear we pour water in and watch it run down each pipe to the gully, then bag everything and take it away. A leaking joint or broken bracket is shown to you in a photo with a price, and fixed only if you say so.

We will not price a gutter clear per metre. A metre under a conifer takes far longer than a metre on an open gable.
Reaching it. A bungalow with lawn all round is quick from the ground. A detached house with a greenhouse, conservatory or deep border under the eaves needs a tower set up around it, and a valley gutter between two roofs needs a platform. A block of flats needs the managing agent's agreement first. The work at height rules decide what goes up, so access is its own line.
What is in it. Dry leaves come out in handfuls. Moss that has washed down off concrete tiles packs into a sodden mat, and silt that has built up behind a Furzehill hedge is heavy to shift. Outlets are where it all collects, so their number matters more than the length.

What is under the ladder decides the morning
On an estate the access question answers itself: hard standing all the way round, ladder up, done. Out in Furzehill it does not, and it is worth understanding because it is the biggest single variable in what this work costs.
